1 Lima Green Coast Afternoon, Miraflores District, Lima City - Atelier South America

Día 1 | Lima

Upon arrival at Lima International Airport you’ll be met by an Atelier concierge who will help with your bags, give you a snapshot of life in Lima, and assist with hotel check-in at the luxurious Miraflores Park.

Día 2 | Lima

Throughout your first full day in Peru’s capital city you’ll have a private car and guide at your disposal. See Lima your way, perhaps exploring the Colonial Old Town, the architecture around Plaza de Armas, treasures found in Lima’s Larco Museum. Lunch comes courtesy of a live cooking demo at a top Lima restaurant, followed by an afternoon at leisure to enjoy dramatic coastal views from the upmarket San Isidro and Miraflores Districts. Tonight, we recommend you find one of the fine dining restaurants Lima is so famous for.

3 Cusco City - Atelier South America

Día 3 | Lima/Cusco

Next on this Magic of the Andes tour comes Cusco and the Sacred Valley, for some of the most memorable wonders in South America. You’ll fly to Cusco, check into to the beautiful Belmond Palacio Nazarenas hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure exploring the cobbled streets, squares, and gourmet restaurants of Downtown Cusco.

The ancient sites and highlights around Cusco are endless, and you’ll witness a mix of both iconic ruins and hidden gems during your time here with your guide and car at disposal to discover, Cusco, the Center of the Inca Empire, at your own pace. Fully rested after your evening at Palacio Nazarenas, we suggest starting today with a tour of Tipon, a stunning ruin of Inca water channels and pools in the Southern Valley. Next, visit the magnificent sites of Qorikancha Temple (the most important of its kind in the Inca Empire), the immense ruins of Pisac, and Sacsayhuaman Citadel to round off your day.

5 Machu Picchu Mistery of the Incas - Atelier South America

Día 5 | Machu Picchu

Your next stop of this Magic of the Andes journey is Machu Picchu, a place that has captured the imagination of countless visitors over the years. Once here, it’s easy to see why. To get there, travel through the Sacred Valley aboard the 5-star Hiram Bingham train on one of the most scenic luxury train journeys in South America. Then, enjoy The Lost City on an exclusive guided tour, before free time to explore on your own – taking in those Sacred Valley views all the while. After our tea time at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge, return to the Poroy Station in Cusco, while having a wonderful dinner and entertainment onboard. Time to delve deeper into the Sacred Valley and be transported to the age of the Inca, as you discover the preserved archaeological sites of Pisac, Moray, and Ollantaytambo. Día 7 | Sacred Valley/Cusco/Puno

Returning to Cusco this morning, you’ll board the renowned Andean Explorer Train to begin the unforgettable 3-day luxury journey from Cusco to the “White City”, Arequipa, via Puno and Lake Titicaca. It’s a stunning route, cutting through the Andes Mountain Range past rural settlements, sweeping hills, wildlife areas and so much more. Once aboard, settle into your cabin and enjoy the gourmet food, evening entertainment, and excursions along the way.

8 Belmond Andean Explorer Train Cusco - Puno - Arequipa - Atelier South America

Día 8 | Puno/Arequipa

Your luxury train journey through the Andes to Arequipa continues as you make it to Puno, on the shores of mythical Lake Titicaca. This area holds great significance for local people, who have held the lake as sacred for centuries. You can visit some of the sites around Lake Titicaca and even take a boat ride to some of the islands dotted throughout, including Uros, while learning the history of the region too. This evening, more fine dining and indulgence aboard your luxury train.

9 Arequipa City - Arequipa - Atelier South America

Day 9 | Arequipa/Lima

Arrive in Arequipa, the great “White City” where you will have chance to explore the beautiful white plazas, outer walls and colonial buildings of this unique little city, before your onward flight to Lima and home, full of priceless memories of Peru.
